Processing HistoryFirst Rapid, Second Rapid, Third Rapid, Diagram Section of Rapid No. 6, Sixth Rapid, Seventh Rapid, and Cabinet Rapids are all color maps, scanned at 42>24 bit, 600 dpi. OCR text transcribed manually. Image areas sampled for tonal range, RGB color channels adjusted, images flattened & sharpened . Format saved as jpg, reduced to 400 dpi. -- Cabinet Rapids Columbia River Washington Territory map: Original map size (approx.) 28.5' x 11". Scanned in three parts at 600 dpi, 16 bit; stitched into one image via Photoshop CS, OCR text transcribed manually; jpeg reduced to 8 bit, 400 dpi w/final size at 16866 x 649 pixels. -- Map of Yakima Region: Original map size (approx.) 23.5" x 25.75". -- Entrance to the Columbia River: Original map size (approx.) 12.5" x 15".
