| Notes | Black and white image. A group of people, varying in age, inside the Walker school. Students are seated in benches that are situated in rows. Women and one girl are dressed in decorative hats with bows, or flowers on their brims. Boys are dressed in jackets with lapels, shirts with collars, and neckties. A group of men and women, standing below two large windows, stand against the back wall. These men are dressed in dark suits with vests and neckties. The women are dressed in long dresses, or skirts, and two sport hats with wide brims with flowers. Hanging from the back wall are banners with the words, "Standard School", "Walker", and "U.H.S." on their surface. The numbers six, twelve, and thirteen are also visible on the surface of the banners. These banners appear to be made of fabric. Also visible in the image is a plant, metal pipe, wood floor, and a partial view of a blackboard that is framed in wood. |

| Processing History | Scanned image enters Photoshop with negative polarity and has a reversed orientation. Archived Tiff is saved. Adobe Photoshop used to reorient and crop image, invert image to positive polarity, set and neutralize shadow and highlight point, adjust midtone contrast, and desaturate color information. Second production tiff saved, retaining adjustments layers. Photoshop used to convert color profile from Adobe 1998, to sRGB, set resolution to 125 dpi and resize the largest pixel dimension of the image to 875. Display jpeg saved after resizing. |
