| TCI Notes | An outside photograph of a man (Colonel B.F. Shaw?) standing next to a rock cairn in an open field. The rock cairn is the location of the Battle of the Grande Ronde, which was in July of 1856. The man is dressed in a suit, holding a cane in his right hand. His left hand is up to his forehead as if he is looking for something off in the distance. The rock cairn is about two feet in height and about one and a half-feet wide. Just behind the man are two dogs that are lying down. The background is a portion of the Blue Mountains. |
