| General Notes | A Native American tomahawk from the collection of relics of the Whitman massacre, 1847, in the Oregon Historical Society is shown against a dark background. The tomahawk has a wooden handle with ornaments and beadwork and a metal head or blade with a heart motif and border designs. A paper tag is attached to the tomahawk but the writing is not legible. |
| TCI Notes | An interior photograph of a hatchet style pipe than has been hung by a couple of strings. There is a brass tack and beadwork on the wooden stem. The hatchet style with a heart shape cut out of the middle of the diamond in front of the diamond is two pieces that have curled back to the stem. There is an identification tag next to the pipe. The backdrop is a piece of cloth. |
