General NotesA Native American man sits in front of Elephant rock. He is wearing a cloth robe and has a long braid. The landscape looks arid and rocky. Elephant rock is a large, craggy rock fromation, shaped like an elephant. The image is a stereograph.
TCI NotesAn outside photograph of a tribal man identified as Charley Whirlwind, Sr. wrapped in a Blanket kneeling below a rock formation. Kneeling on his right knee a few yards below what is commonly called Elephant Rock. This rock formation is significant Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation (CTUIR) oral history. The photograph is in stereo. The image on the right side is showing more of the rock formation just behind Charley Whirlwind Sr.
