| General Notes | A Native American woman is sitting on the bank of a river, located on the Umatilla Reservation. She has a blanket wrapped snugly around her. In the clearing behind the woman there is a canvas tipi, two piles of sticks, and a deer hide slung over a stick that is suspended across two trees. In the background there are tall, deciduous trees and dense shrubbery. In the foreground is the river with some trees emerging from it. The surface of the river is smooth and glassy and perfectly reflects the woman, the tent and trees from the backgound. |
